Orphanage

Currently, approximately 12 children are cared for by a responsible nun. Like in any Cameroonian family, the children here also have important tasks:

They cultivate the garden, take care of the chickens, and fetch water from the well. They are supported in this by the village community.

School and the infirmary are available to all children free of charge!

Elementary School

School attendance at our Mvam-Zamba elementary school is free for all children. Classes take place in 3 small buildings. The school building was inaugurated in 2004 and renovated in 2020 by the village community through their own efforts.

Guesthouse

Thanks to the generous support of Prof. Thomas Reich, the very comfortable guesthouse has now been completed and is available to our visitors.

The Hildegard Althaus Lyceum is currently still in its construction phase but is already being used for teaching.

Hospital

The hospital in the capital Yaoundé has 60 beds. We are pleased to have Dr. Elise, a competent and dedicated head physician, who is expertly supported by Dr. Agnes.

Infirmary

Hospitals only exist in the big cities and are only accessible to the richest. Our infirmary in the village of Mvam-Zamba ensures basic medical care for the poor.

A particular concern of our association is the training of young people to enable them to have an economic livelihood in Cameroon. Our vocational school in the capital Yaoundé houses a carpentry workshop and a sewing workshop.
